driving forward with belt bends

Pharmacutical Products on Our Conveyor

Since the acquisition of the renowned 'Gramac' belt bend by Quartz Systems, which is a division of the specialist materials handling equipment manufacturing group - Amber Industries, general manager Neil Wrangles reported that there is still a good demand for this niche product and the sales book is looking positive.

Neil Wrangles commented," As with all acquisitions, there is period of uncertainty not only for existing staff but also for customers who question continuity of supply and ongoing servicing of installations. But backed by the parent company's commitment and investment, we soon established a new sales and service centre at Stanstead Abbotts and are fully supported with full manufacturing and support services in the North West. Logistically this gives us a great advantage in providing prompt response to servicing needs throughout the UK, whilst also being located to key airport operations which are major users of belt bends on baggage handling systems. With full BAA approval and the proven patented 'Gramac' products we can offer services with total reliability.

At Gramac Quartz Systems we manufacture a proven range of powered belt modules to handle most unit loads up to 100kg./mtr., plus mergers and spirals including the quick change QTR belt bends.

Since the beginning of the year, orders have been placed for over 40+ new Gramac belt bends for various applications from airport baggage handling and parcel distribution, food packing and processing, product manufacturing and assembly - to name but a few; whilst the quotation book also looks very promising. A recent photograph shows the diversity of industries supported by 'Gramac' products, with a spiral curve installed on a manufacturing line handling interior foam components for the automotive industry.

The ongoing commitment by the Amber Industries Group to Gramac Quartz Systems and 'Gramac' products continues and, we will shortly be announcing further product developments in the near future. So we can report that the company is firmly established with positive sales and a very promising long term future."
